Five Questions, One Founder — Grace Brooke

Inspired and informed by her own “hustle” and perfectionism-lead burn-out, Grace Brooke supports women through a journey of grounded, intentional transformation and rewiring that makes way for a life and home environment that feels spacious and full of possibility.

1. How many years have you had your business — founding story/inspiration?

I’ve officially been in business for 24 years – since 9/2001 – but honestly, I’ve been doing this since I was a little girl. Back then, I just knew that when a room was messy, I felt “ugh,” and when it was beautiful and orderly, I could actually breathe. I’ve always been into how our spaces dictate our vibe.

It started at home. I grew up in a lot of clutter, and I saw firsthand how heavy and suffocating that chaos feels. It’s not just “stuff” – it’s the stress of not finding your keys, the stagnant energy, the added expense of buying duplicates and the constant weight on your shoulders of unfinished projects.

I knew deep down life didn’t have to be that hard. I started out in admin work, then moved into organizing and productivity because I’ve always enjoyed being the “behind-the-scenes” person making life run smoother. But eventually, I realized I wasn’t just helping women organize their closets; I was helping them find peace and self-respect. Now, we go deep. We look at the relationship with time, money, and “things” from the inside out. You can’t fix the outside if the inner patterns are still running the show!

2. Is this the direction you planned?

Kind of…

In the beginning, I was all about the logistics – moving, organizing, making spaces functional. But as I did my own “inner work” and healing, I realized you can’t separate the two. Our outer world is just a mirror of our inner world. So, while I didn’t exactly map out this specific path, the mission has always been the same: helping women lighten their load and live a life that feels abundant, fulfilling and fun.

3. What is the most rewarding thing about being an entrepreneur?

Seeing women take their power back!

There’s this “click” moment when a client stops being so mean to herself and starts making choices that actually support her. It’s the best feeling in the world when someone tells me they hear my voice in their head reminding them of their worth. Plus, getting to lead from my own lived experience and create something meaningful.

4. Most challenging?

The fact that entrepreneurship is basically one giant personal growth workshop that never ends! It’s not just about the technical work; it’s about staring down your own perfectionism, your inner critic, and that annoying habit of tying your worth to your productivity. It has stretched me in every way possible, but I wouldn’t trade the growth for anything.

5. What is one piece of advice you would give to someone wanting to start a business?

Know your worth on Day One. And please, don’t wait until you feel “ready” to start.

I spent way too many years over-giving and leaving money on the table. Be real, be messy, and be willing to learn as you go. Just don’t build a business that looks “Pinterest-perfect” on the outside but makes you miserable on the inside.

6. Bonus: What has being part of the TLC community meant to you?

It’s total soul-food. It’s so refreshing to be in a space with women who are building things with total heart. I enjoy the genuine “sisterhood”. It’s a reminder that we don’t have to do life + business alone.
